Cave, who played Lavender Brown in the film franchise, posted on Instagram on Tuesday an image of her child in a hospital room, alongside a laptop playing the speech by UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson announcing a new lockdown in England.

“I looked at the information regarding confinement in an isolated room in the hospital. The poor baby is covid positive, ”Cave wrote.

“He’s doing well and doing well, but they’re vigilant and cautious luckily. This strain is super potent and contagious so I hope people will be extra careful in the weeks to come,” added the 33-year-old.

The actress and comedian has played Hogwarts student Brown in the last three “Harry Potter” films and most recently appeared in the “Trollied” television series.

She gave birth to her third child in October, and wrote on Instagram that the birth was “extreme” and that the child was placed in the neonatal unit after her arrival.

“I really didn’t want to be back in the hospital so soon after her traumatic birth,” Cave wrote in her Instagram post Tuesday.

Johnson announced England’s third lockdown on Monday as cases of Covid-19 mounted in the country. The new variant of the coronavirus, first identified in the UK, is believed to be more transmissible and has prompted many countries to close their borders to travelers from the country.
