Jessie Cave’s newborn son Abraham tested positive for COVID-19 at almost 3 months old and is in hospital.

The “Harry Potter” actress, known for playing Lavender Brown, shared on Instagram Tuesday that her baby was “fine and doing well”, but they “are vigilant and careful”.

“This strain is super potent and contagious so hopefully people will pay more attention in the weeks to come,” the 33-year-old warned next to a photo of Abraham in her hospital bed as she ‘she was watching UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson talk about the latest lockdowns.

Cave admitted that she “didn’t want to be back in the hospital so soon” after experiencing a “traumatic” birth with Abraham.

The newborn, who is the actress’ third child with comedian Alfie Brown, was born in October and was immediately admitted to the neonatal unit.

The baby had been released and spent time at home with Cave, Brown and their other children, Donnie, 5, and Margot, 3, before contracting coronavirus.

It is not known if other family members have also tested positive for COVID-19.
