Baltimore Ravens Lamar Jackson wary of possible first snow game against Buffalo Bills

OWINGS MILLS, Md. – Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson has never played a game in the snow, and he doesn’t want that streak to end in Saturday’s AFC Division playoff game in Buffalo against the Bills.

Asked about his experience playing in the snow, Jackson said, “Zero. Saturday would be my first time playing football in the snow, if so. Hopefully not.”

As of Tuesday, there is a 40% chance that snow showers will occur at Bills Stadium on Saturday night. The buildup could be as much as an inch.

Jackson, who grew up in South Florida, said he remembered the first time he saw snow, while in Louisville.

“We had a snowball fight,” Jackson said, “so it’s totally different playing in it.”

First left guard Bradley Bozeman echoed Jackson’s feelings about playing a postseason game in the snow.

“Big guys in slippery situations isn’t always a good thing,” said Bozeman.

Jackson, the reigning NFL MVP, could wear a glove in Buffalo, but it wouldn’t be for weather reasons. He wore a glove on his left hand in the second half of the Ravens’ 20-13 victory over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday because his thumb got stuck.

“I’m fine,” Jackson said.

Jackson was not on the Ravens’ injury report on Tuesday when the team arranged a visit.
