The New York Rangers have reduced the squad’s active roster to 18 players and announced the roster of 22 players and a squad of six taxis for the 2020-2021 season.
There aren’t any big surprises here, but it’s worth noting that K’Andre Miller has been a part of the squad and of course he’s going to be a first pair with Jacob Trouba. This is what you call, my friends, a big deal.
It’s also not surprising that Jack Johnson is on the main roster and not on the cab team. Speaking of the cab team … Morgan Barron, Anthony Bitetto, Colin Blackwell, Libor Hajek, Matthew Robertson, and goalie Keith Kinkaid are all on the team.
Among the 18 players eliminated, there were 12 players assigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack. The 2020-21 AHL season is scheduled to begin on February 4 and the Wolf Pack will be in a division with the Providence Bruins and Bridgeport Sound Tigers.
