Deshaun Watson trade odds: where the 49ers land among the top destinations

[ad_1]

As the turmoil between the Houston Texans and Deshaun Watson continues to dissipate, rumors have started to circulate about the 25-year-old quarterback coming to San Francisco.

Granted, these are just rumors, but Watson’s dissatisfaction with the organization can hardly be refuted. Speculation surrounding a possible trade with Watson is high, as are the odds of every NFL team landing him

The 49ers are tied with the Washington soccer team with a +1000 chance of being the next team Watson is going to take a hit on, according to odds provided by our partner PointsBet (Colorado). This means that by placing a bet of $ 100 you would win $ 1000 if San Francisco were able to pull off the feat for the triple Pro Bowler.

The Texans, of course, lead the field with odds of -125 (a bet of $ 125 wins you $ 100).

Watson staying with Houston is still the most likely outcome, but the saga between him and the organization escalated last week when the Texans announced the hiring of Nick Caserio as the new general manager. Hiring wouldn’t have worked out well with Watson (to say the least), as the older Clemson product reportedly considered requesting a trade-in.

Although coach Kyle Shanahan and general manager John Lynch have said they believe Jimmy Garappolo will be the 49ers starting quarterback next season, you can’t turn down an opportunity like Watson if it comes to fruition. – especially when tweets resurfaced showing his love for the 49ers in Jim Harbaugh’s day.

Watson led the NFL with 4,823 passing yards, as well as yards per attempt (8.9) and yards per completion (12.6). He threw 33 touchdowns to go with just seven interceptions, posting a 70.2% completion rate.

The result? A dismal 4-12 season, thanks to the poor supporting cast the Texans have put around him.

If the 49ers pull out a trade, they’ll have to beat several other organizations, for obvious reasons. Behind the Texans, PointsBet Colorado currently has the Miami Dolphins +300, New England Patriots +400 and New York Jets +450 in the lead. The Chicago Bears (+550) and Indianapolis Colts (+600) also have higher odds than the 49ers.
