Man in ‘Camp Auschwitz’ sweatshirt arrested in riot at Capitol Hill, law enforcement official says

CNN was the first to report that the man in the sweatshirt was identified as Robert Keith Packer. A law enforcement official told CNN that Packer was arrested in Newport News, Virginia.

An image of Packer inside the Capitol, whose sweatshirt bore the name of the Nazi concentration camp where an estimated 1.1 million people were killed in World War II, sparked shock and disbelief on social networks. The bottom of his shirt read: “Work brings freedom”, which is the rough translation of the expression “Arbeit macht frei” which was at the gates of the concentration camp.

This story is breaking and will be updated.
