Mary-Kate Olsen and her ex-husband Olivier Sarkozy have reached a settlement of their divorce, their lawyers announced on Wednesday.
“This morning we came to a final agreement,” Sarkozy’s attorney Michael Mosberg told a judge during a video hearing at the Manhattan Supreme Court.
Mosberg said the parties will have a finalized and signed copy of the agreement to the judge by next week.
Judge Lori Sattler asked Olsen’s lawyer Nancy Chemtob if she agreed.
“Yes, Your Honor, that’s right, it’s all resolved,” Chemtob said. “We have worked very hard. We have a regulation. “
The 34-year-old “Full House” star – who appeared at the video hearing wearing a black turtleneck – filed for divorce in May from the French banker and half-brother of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Olsen tried to file for an emergency divorce during a moratorium on new cases sparked by the coronavirus pandemic, claiming her 51-year-old, five-year-old husband had terminated the lease on their Gramercy Park pad in $ 29,000 per month, leaving her to find a new place in the midst of the health crisis.
In the midst of the divorce, Olsen moved into a $ 325,000 Hamptons rental for the summer.
Sattler pushed lawyers to finalize the settlement.
“Until I see the evidence, I will keep my feet on the fire a bit,” said the lawyer. “I have confidence and believe this is happening, however, I will keep control of the case to make sure this is done and get them divorced.”
