Senior White House adviser Hicks no longer works at the White House, a departure previously scheduled

Hicks was one of President Donald Trump’s most influential confidants and a longtime loyalist, but she hasn’t been in the White House much in recent weeks after feeling her influence wane after pushing back against allegations of voter fraud baseless of the president, sources say. She also urged him not to initiate legal proceedings without the presence of competent lawyers.

Hicks declined a request for comment from CNN.

His departure also came following a scandal involving former senior assistant Rob Porter, which public defense Hicks helped fabricate while dating him at the time.

Porter resigned in disgrace after two of his ex-wives publicly accused him of domestic violence.

After her departure, she worked as head of communications at Fox Corporation, the parent company of Fox News.

She’s once been the recipient of Trump’s repeated phone calls, witnessed his most agonizing moments and, according to other campaign assistants, the person who pulled the wrinkles out of his pants. Hicks was also one of the few trusted assistants who was often spotted in the White House residence.

But his relationship with Trump changed dramatically after leaving the White House for the first time.

During her testimony last June, Hicks told lawmakers she had only spoken to Trump between five and ten times since leaving the White House.

However, Hicks remained in close contact with senior White House adviser and the president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner and other senior White House officials.

A unique role model, Hicks joined the Trump organization to work in public relations with Ivanka Trump and moved on to Trump’s presidential campaign early in the race. She remained one of the few aides to follow him from his political beginnings to the White House.

Hicks maintained a close relationship not only with the president – who called him “Hopey” – but with his family members, including Ivanka Trump and Kushner.

This story is breaking and will be updated.
