Mary-Kate Olsen has finally settled her divorce from her ex-husband Olivier Sarkozy.
Lawyers for the former couple practically appeared before a Manhattan judge on Wednesday and made their rulings, adding that they expected to have a signed copy of the split agreement in court by next week, according to Page Six.
“This morning, we came to a final agreement,” Sarkozy lawyer Michael Mosberg told a judge during a video hearing at the Manhattan Supreme Court.
Judge Lori Sattler asked Olsen’s attorney, Nancy Chemtob, if she agreed, to which Chemtob replied: “Yes, your honor, that’s right, it’s all resolved. hard. We have a settlement. “

Olsen, 34, who requested the dissolution of her marriage to the French banker in May, appeared on the video stream wearing a simple black turtleneck as lawyers for the respective parties proceeded with the formalities.
Olsen lost an offer in his emergency divorce petition amid the coronavirus pandemic in May. New York City Judge Michael Katz dismissed the claim, saying the case was not “essential” in nature and therefore the estranged couple should follow the proper channels to resolve their marital dispute.

“Currently, we are only accepting essential and urgent matters for filing,” a New York court spokesperson said in a statement to Fox News at the time. “The original case was rejected by the New York County clerk because they did not follow the essential issues procedure.
“They were returned under the essential issues procedure and the case was remitted to the ex parte judge, a judge of the Supreme Court of the State of New York,” the note continued. “He has determined that this is not an essential question, so they cannot file anything at this point.”
Olsen reportedly sought to speed up the process after claiming that Sarkozy had terminated the lease on the New York apartment they shared and sent a notice to Olsen telling her she had to leave on May 18.

Page Six reported at the time that Olsen said in his file: “I am petrified that my husband is trying to rob me of the house we lived in and if he succeeds, not only will I lose my house, but I will risk losing my personal property as well. “
In the midst of the divorce, Olsen moved into a $ 325,000 Hamptons rental for the summer.
Sattler pushed lawyers to finalize the settlement, the outlet said.

“Until I actually see the evidence, I’m going to keep your feet on the fire a bit,” the lawyer said, according to Page Six. “I have confidence and believe this is happening, however, I will remain in control of the matter to make sure it gets done and get them divorced.”
Lawyers for the couple did not immediately respond to Fox News requests for comment.
