To start the year off right, here’s a simple suggestion: call someone you love. For its spring 2021 campaign, Coach reminds us of the importance of recognizing the people in our lives who make us who we are.
The campaign, photographed by photographer Renell Medrano and drawn by Olivier Rizzo, is called “Coach It Forward” and features J.Lo, Michael B. Jordan, basketball player Jeremy Lin, Chinese actress Yang Zi and model Japanese Kōki. In the video, each person walks into a Coach branded phone booth to thank the friends and family who inspired and supported them.
So often we go through the movement of day to day life without properly taking a moment to recognize the people who are leading the optimistic change in our lives, our community and the world, ”J.Lo said in a statement. . “To me Coach It Forward means kicking off and being grateful. I am delighted to have had the opportunity to pay tribute to my family and my family of creatives, collaborators, thinkers, actors and friends who have made such a positive impact on my life. “
Jordan added, “When you step back you see that we are all the sum of the people who have helped us. I think about my mom and dad, my family, my friends, the people I work with and how they all supported and inspired me. I loved having this opportunity to raise people who are important to me and to recognize how their passion and positivity has moved my world forward.
Anyone can participate in the campaign. A phone number, 1-779-COACHNY, flashes on the screen at the end of the video, inviting viewers around the world to express their messages of gratitude, which will appear on the brand’s social media, in stores and on the brand’s website. Or just pick up the phone, call someone directly, and let them know how much they mean to you. We could all use a little love these days.
