Rodrigo, 17, starred alongside Joshua Bassett, 20, on Disney + High School Musical: The Musical: The Series, and the two are rumored to be dating in real life.
What happened?
In August 2020, Bassett was seen having lunch with Sabrina Carpenter, 21, a singer who rose to fame for her role as Maya on the Disney Channel. Girl meets the world. Sabrina’s sister, Sarah, was also present.

Sabrina is 21 (four years older than Rodrigo) and is blonde.
In an earlier version of the song, which Rodrigo posted on Instagram in July 2020, the lyrics refer to a “brunette” girl. Fans began to speculate if the change had to do with Bassett spending time with Carpenter.
Olsen then moved on to the opening words: “I got my driver’s license last week / As we’ve always talked about.”
In a video that reappeared on social media from LeBlanc Updates on YouTube, Rodrigo recalls practicing driving in Bassett’s car before getting his license and the moment after the duo found out about the song they co-wrote , “Just for a Moment”, would be used in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. “We celebrated and went to In-N-Out, and I couldn’t actually drive.
