Robert De Niro and Chris Rock join David O. Russell’s new film

Michael Shannon, Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant and Anya-Taylor Joy also join the secret project.

David O. Russell’s latest film completed his A-list set.

Frequent collaborator Robert De Niro has joined the project, alongside Mike Myers, Timothy Olyphant, Michael Shannon, Chris Rock and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Andrea Riseborough, Matthias Schoenaerts and Alessandro Nivola have also joined the cast which includes previously announced stars Christian Bale, Margot Robbie and John David Washington.

Project New Regency, which is set up as part of Regency’s deal with Fox / Disney, will see Russell directly from his own script. Plot details are being kept under wraps about the film, which will be Russell’s return to the director’s seat for the first time since 2015. Joy, with Jennifer Lawrence.

Production was scheduled to start in April for the feature before COVID-19 production ceased. The film is now considering a January start in Los Angeles. Russell produces with Matthew Budman.
