Lander was the external co-chair of the Presidential Council of Science and Technology Advisors under the Obama administration. He helped lead the Human Genome Project and was a pioneer in the field of genomic medicine, according to the transition team. He is president and founding director of the Broad Institute at MIT and Harvard, a nonprofit biomedical research institute.
Nelson is Chairman of the Social Science Research Council and Harold F. Linder Professor at the Institute for Advanced Study. She sits on the boards of the Andrew W. Foundation’s transition team.
Arnold was the first American to receive the Nobel Prize in chemistry in 2018, according to the transition team. She is Linus Pauling Professor of Chemical Engineering, Bioengineering, and Biochemistry and is Director of the Rosen Bioengineering Center at the California Institute of Technology.
Jones served as a senior technology policy adviser and legal adviser to the Democratic staff of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. She began working in the Senate in 2014 after serving in senior positions with the Federal Communications Commission for over a decade.
Koizumi is part of the Biden-Harris Transition Team and previously served as Senior Science Policy Advisor at the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He also worked in the Obama administration as deputy director of federal research and development and senior advisor to the National Science and Technology Council at OSTP.
