Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have spent a year. Since their royal outing, the couple have moved across the Atlantic to North America, where they have moved several times before settling in their forever home in Montecito, California. It would be stressful enough, of course, but Harry and Meghan have made their huge life-changing amid a global pandemic that has kept them from visiting Harry’s family in the UK for months now.

Yet, through it all, the couple flourished. In a play for Grazia, Find freedom co-author Omid scobie describes the year of the Sussexes, writing: “Being where they are now, having created an empire and charity in just over nine months, shows how hard they’ve worked to make this transition a success , but it took a lot of work to get here. The trip has been painful. “

Part of this pain comes from the loneliness Harry and Meghan went through. As well as being estranged from the rest of the royal family, the couple were left behind by a key member of their staff early in their transition, apparently.

‘It’s just a lot,’ said a friend of Meghan’s Carolyn Durand, the other half of the Find freedom editorial team, according to Daily mail. “Their nanny returned to the UK when they moved to Los Angeles due to the pandemic and restrictions left them feeling pretty lonely. Each move made them feel more out of place.

Now, of course, Harry and Meghan would feel a lot more settled. A source recently said the couple had “no regrets” about their royal outing as they “felt very rewarded for their hard work.”
