The Chiefs took a 6-0 lead in the game’s first practice when Patrick Mahomes kicked the ball in to 1 yard. Mahomes could have thrown the option to Darryl Williams but kept it himself and scored easily. Mahomes has now scored in each of the Chiefs’ last three playoff games since last season. Harrison Butker missed the extra point attempt.

It was Mahomes’ third straight playoff game with a rushed touchdown, the longest streak by a quarterback since Steve Young in the 1994-95 playoffs, according to ESPN Stats & Information.

After scoring, Mahomes threw the ball into the upper deck.
