Actor Kristy Swanson has said that if Donald Trump is removed from John Hughes Home alone 2 so she wants to be removed from Pretty in pink and Ferris Bueller’s day off.
Swanson took to Twitter to defend the outgoing president, saying: “If Cancel Culture is really going to get Donald J Trump removed from John Hughes film Alone at home, then in support of MY PRESIDENT, I would like to be officially withdrawn from the films of John Hughes Pretty in pink and Ferris Buhler’s day off [sic]. “
The 51-year-old appeared in a small, non-speaking role at the end of Pretty in pink and gave a brief speech in class Ferris Bueller’s day off.
A number of users and celebrities were quick to point out that the roles Swanson played in the two iconic films were very minor.
“I’m sorry. Who are you?” replied Joy Star Jane Lynch, while Rosanna Arquette simply replied, “So are we.”
Community Actor Yvette Nicole Brown – who played Shirley on the hit sitcom – added: “Were you in those movies?” In a subsequent post, Brown wrote, “His CV is not important. What IS is that she still supports a guy who instigated a Klan riot where six people died either at the scene or a day later – one by their own hand.

Thirty-some Ken Olin, actor and Golden Globe winner, said: “Retweet if you are ok with removing @KirstySwansonXO from all movies she’s been in?”
