Thirty-four percent of Americans approve of the job Trump does as president, a Gallup poll released on Monday found, representing the lowest approval rating he has had since taking office.
Trump’s average 41% approval rating over his four years in office is four points lower than that of one of his White House predecessors during the Gallup polls, reported the ‘agency.
A 34% approval rating is a point lower than its previous lowest single rating, which occurred multiple times in 2017.
Trump is the first president to fail to secure a 50% approval rating at any time since Gallup began measuring approval for presidential office in 1938.
An ABC News / Ipsos poll released on Sunday found that the majority of Americans have said they believe Trump should be removed from office.

Trump’s low job approval rating came less than two weeks after Capitol Hill was swarmed with crowds of his supporters challenging the presidential election results.
The president has repeatedly reiterated the idea that the election was stolen from him, until and after the congressional meeting to officially count the electoral college votes that claimed Biden was the winner. The count was interrupted by rioters who stormed the Capitol, forcing the House and Senate to retreat for hours before meeting again that evening.
The Gallup poll results are based on telephone interviews between Jan. 4 and Jan. 15, from two days before the riot. The margin of sampling error is 4 percentage points.
