FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) – The Clinica Sierra Vista has announced that it is suspending all COVID vaccinations, including at its Fresno location, after 10 people in California had allergic reactions to a particular batch of the Moderna vaccine.

California health officials have called for a temporary halt to the distribution of this specific batch, batch # 041L20A. The clinic said it received 1,100 doses of this batch, but not everyone who received a vaccination from Clinica Sierra today received a dose of the shipment in question.

In fact, the vaccines from the expedition in question were not sent to the Fresno site on Elm at all. Vaccinations are simply being suspended as a precaution, according to Clinica Sierra Vista.

The clinic, which had scheduled vaccinations for people aged 65 and over in Fresno and Kern counties starting Monday, Jan.18, announced a few hours in the afternoon that it would not administer the doses until further notice.
