Melania and Donald Trump disembarked from their last trip with Air Force One at Palm Beach International Airport minutes before their presidential term ended on Wednesday.
However, it was the former first lady’s outfit that caught the attention of fashion-obsessed social media users.
Instead of the all-black ensemble Melania wore when she boarded her flight from Washington, DC, which Vanity Fair said included a Chanel jacket, Dolce & Gabbana dress, Louboutin shoes and a Hermès Birkin bag, she got off the plane in a colorful style. Gucci patterned dress is priced at $ 3,700.

While some supporters hailed Melania’s commitment to making a fashion statement, some Twitter users balked at the price tags of what she wore before and after the theft.
Others just weren’t a fan of the hexagon-print silk dress she wore as she and Trump left for their residence at the historic Mar-a-Lago club.
“The ’70s want their curtains back,” joked a Twitter user at Melania’s Fashion Pick.

“Did Melania get a job representing the Florida Orange Growers Assn?” they wrote.

A harsher online reviewer went on to say that “money doesn’t always mean class and style” and the former first couple “won’t be missing.”
Meanwhile, several Twitter users joked that they paired the former model’s loose dress and sunglasses with that of a divorcee from Florida.

Some even shared that they believed Melania’s change of outfit symbolized her true feelings about leaving the White House.
Melania and Trump broke with tradition and did not attend the inauguration of Joe Biden, who is now the 46th President of the United States.

By the time the couple landed in Palm Beach, Florida, the weather was around 74 degrees Fahrenheit. This temperature is 30 degrees warmer than what was reported in Washington, DC on Wednesday morning.
