Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond is said to have completed his first round of chemotherapy in his battle with stage 4 cancer.

The actor’s team told TMZ they were battling stage 4 small cell carcinoma. The site reports that the cancer has metastasized to Diamond’s lungs.

The TV star, 44, will soon be hosting a second round of chemotherapy and also plans to start physiotherapy. Thankfully, his team told TMZ he was in a good mood, staying positive as he interacted with fans online and spent time with his girlfriend.

Diamond was hospitalized earlier this month with widespread pain and discomfort, and shortly afterwards confirmed his battle with cancer via Facebook.

Following his diagnosis, Mario Lopez and Tiffani Thiessen, former co-stars of Diamond’s “Saved by the Bell”, sent messages of support.

Page Six has reached out to Diamond’s rep for comment.
