Let’s just look at the Royal Rumble 1992

We’re getting closer to this year Royal rumble pay-per-view (PPV), scheduled for Sunday, January 31, 2021, at the ThunderDome in St. Petersburg, Fla., where we will have two more Royal Rumble matches. This means that WWE spent time looking at the old Royal Rumble match and arguably the best of them is the masterpiece put together in 1992.

It was only the fifth Royal Rumble game in history, but I’ll be damned if they didn’t pull off an absolute home run from start to finish. Ric Flair came in at number 3 and put in a legendary performance that you could say is still the best we’ve ever seen in this type of game.

Here’s a clip from Flair speaking with Stone Cold Steve Austin:

Flair became champion by winning the match, then went behind the scenes and cut one of the most memorable promos of all time.

We can only hope that either of the Royal Rumble matches this year will come close to that level.
