Even two months after launch, the PS5 and Xbox Series X are still hard to find in stock, but GameStop has announced that customers will have another chance to purchase the next-gen consoles. today January 21. Video Game Retailer Plans to Restock PS5, Xbox Series X Bundles | S and Nintendo Switch, although a limited number of units are expected, so you’ll want to be quick if you want a new console.
Unfortunately, it’s unclear when exactly the PS5 or Xbox Series X | S will be restocked. GameStop Twitter Account will post when they go live, and we’ll update this story as well, but console bundles will likely appear at the links above later today. People can expect a variety of accessories and additional games added to the bundles which will make them more expensive than standard consoles.
The difficulty in purchasing one of the new consoles has been immense, especially with the PS5 scalpers ripping the units off before everyone else. However, it looks like retailers got more PS5 stock this week, as GameStop is just the latest store to put PS5 units on sale recently. Target had its first restock of the year on Wednesday, while Amazon and Best Buy had the PS5 available for purchase earlier today. The Xbox Series X, on the other hand, hasn’t appeared so recently, and when we see it in stock, it’s almost always available as a bundle. As for the Nintendo Switch, it wasn’t as hard to find in stores.
