Facebook says some users were unexpectedly signed out of their accounts on Friday due to a “configuration change,” and the issue was resolved on Saturday morning.
“On January 22, a configuration change forced some people to log out of their Facebook accounts. We investigated the issue and fixed it for everyone earlier today. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused, ”a spokesperson for the Facebook company said in an email to The edge.

The problems started late Friday ET, with r / Facebook Reddit board users reporting that they were receiving “login” prompts from their Facebook apps, but had not signed out.
Engadget found that iPhone users appeared to be the most affected by the logout issue, noting that users of Facebook’s iOS app had difficulty logging back into their accounts when using two-factor authentication . Most were able to reconnect, but the necessary authentication codes were taking a long time to reach users.
