Super Smash Bros. Ultimate mod adds Kingdom Hearts Sora

You may remember the rumors from late last year about a possible addition of Kingdom Hearts protagonist Sora to Nintendo’s popular fighting video game. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate which looked quite meaty thanks to a few convincing assets. In fact, this was actually pulled from a mod by modder Mastaklo, and the mod itself is now available and available to anyone who subscribes to the modder’s Patreon. If you just want to see the Sora mod in action, the modder has helpfully shared a little gameplay showcase, which you can check out above, that shows what to expect.

Sora, if you’re unfamiliar in one way or another, has been a fan favorite request for an additional fighter for years at this point. There has never been any serious indication that he would someday get to the title, of course, but Square Enix’s continued collaboration with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate in the form of fighters Cloud Strife and Sephiroth DLC continues to fuel rumors that even more may be on the way.

As for the mod, the Sora model looks pretty good in action and uses Shulk’s moveset, an already existing one. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate fighter. Part of it is also how people ultimately determined that the Sora DLC rumors were a bunch of malarkey last year; An animated position of Sora was expressly identical to Shulk because, as noted above, it actually came from this mod.
