Already plagued by numerous bugs, Omen suffered another unintentional exploit after Valorant patch 2.01. The new bug allows players to cancel and reuse the Agent’s Ultimate Ability, giving them endless teleports with no cooldown.
A main part of the appeal of Valorant is the variety of Agents that players take on when fighting their opponents. The characters in the game offer a variety of archetypes and playstyles to choose from, and these choices are one of the main attractions for both newbie and veteran players.
One of the characters available for release, Omen, was a popular choice early on due to his unique abilities. With a kit that allows the agent to distract, confuse, and flank enemies, he remains the top choice for the controller role in casual and ranked games.
Despite its popularity, the “Ghost of a Memory” remains controversial due to numerous bugs related to its abilities. After patch 2.01, it looks like a revolutionary new Omen feat has been introduced that allows players to use his ultimate ability without any cooldowns.
In a clip shared on Reddit by “u / LogicaLogix”, the player can be seen using their ultimate ability over and over again with no cooldowns between uses. The short video shows Omen activating his teleportation, appearing in the intended location, but then canceling the ability’s animation at the last second.
After canceling the animation, Omen’s Ultimate is immediately ready for use again, and the appropriate vocal line is played each time, saying “My Ultimate is ready.” The player teleports to the map 3 times in this manner, with their ultimate fully charged and ready to use after each activation.
One user asked u / LogicaLogix how they could have done this, and the poster explained that “you need to remove your knife and left click on the card at the same time, then use an ability just before tp.” It won’t be an easy move to pull off, and the player admits that “the timing is very hard to get off.”
Omen can cancel his ultimate animation after teleporting from VALORANT
The comments on the post were filled with frustration and disbelief on the part of the community. “Every week, every week, it’s the same with Omen,” replied one user. Another asked “[have] we had only one patch without Omen bug? “
While bugs are not uncommon in all titles, Omen has suffered from an extremely high number of issues since Valorant’s initial release. At one point, Riot even took the character out of the game while they were working to resolve another agent-related teleportation issue.
Riot did not respond to u / LogicaLogix’s post at the time of writing. While they’ve fixed Omen’s latest bug yet, their team is likely on the lookout for any agent-related issues and will likely come up with a fix as a top priority once they learn of the new exploit. .
