WWE to unveil first female entries to Royal Rumble, 30th male participants

Some information on the 2021 Royal Rumble men’s and women’s matches will be revealed on WWE’s special Backstage page for pay-per-view.

WWE has announced that the two wrestlers who will kick off the Royal Rumble Women’s Match as the first and second entrants will be announced during the WWE Backstage Royal Rumble preview special. The wrestler who comes last in the men’s Royal Rumble match at number 30 will also be revealed on the special.

The WWE Backstage Specials premieres on FS1 at 8 p.m. EST this Saturday, the day before the Royal Rumble. The special is hosted by Renee Paquette (formerly Renee Young in WWE), Booker T and Paige.

The special will also be rebroadcast on FS1 at midnight Eastern Time on the night of its premiere, and at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Royal Rumble day.

This will be the first episode of WWE Backstage since the show’s weekly studio production ended last June. It was noted at the time that the show could return with occasional episodes surrounding major WWE events.
