A brief excerpt from young Gandolfini as Soprano in The Many Saints of Newark – a prequel to the series – is included in a trailer released Wednesday. The video teases the deal on same-day premieres of Warner Bros. and HBO Max.
In Wednesday’s trailer, young Tony Soprano is seen fighting on the street. He is referred to by his full name, Antonio Soprano, rather than by his usual nickname, Tony.
The trailer also includes previews of other upcoming releases, such as Dune, in the heights, and The suicide squad.
The many saints of Newark, like many other films, was delayed by the coronavirus pandemic.
It is now slated for release in September 2021 in the US and October 2021 in the UK.
