The new Porsche Lego 2-in-1 kit can be a 911 Turbo or a 911 Targa

Lego fans, it’s time to choose your own Porsche business. The new Lego Porsche 911 Turbo and 911 Targa two-in-one kit offers the ability to customize your classic 911 in one of two iconic air-cooled models from the 1970s and 1980s.

The 1458-piece kit recreates your favorite classic (sorry, you can only choose one buildable version at a time) with lovely details. It features the 911’s 2 + 2 interior with dark orange and vintage nougat, as well as reclining front sports seats. There’s also a handbrake, shift lever, and working steering. Of course, both versions of the car have the car’s flat-six engine in its place: at the rear.

As with real cars, the Turbo version of the build features a wider rear axle, whale tail spoiler, turbocharger, intercooler, and a special badge. The Lego Targa gets a wrap-around rear window, Targa-specific badges and a thick targa bar, as well as removable roof sections under the hood.

The Targa / Turbo kit includes several unique bricks designed specifically for the Lego 911. The finished model is 4.25 inches high, 6.3 inches wide, and just under 14 inches long.

Those who order through Lego’s free VIP loyalty program can get a Limited Edition Lego Porsche Owners Pack with the car, which includes four Porsche adverts from the history of the 911 rendered as Lego fine art prints. The pack also includes a certificate of ownership and a card holder in a collector’s wallet.

Lego and Porsche are collaborating on careful programs centered on the release of the two 911s-one-kit. First, there is an online automotive meetup on February 16 at Lego.com for members of the Lego VIP program. There, Lego design master Mike Psiaki, Porsche exterior designer Fabian Schmölz and Jörg Thilow of Porsche Heritage and Museum will talk about the history of the new Lego-911 combo model. The speakers will also go down in the history of the Porsche 911 and the evolution of its iconic design.
