He built a strong brand with grassroots Republican voters statewide, thanks to his passionate defense of former President Donald Trump in televised interviews and in two rounds of impeachment hearings in the House of Representatives American.
His $ 5 million campaign treasure in November showed he had the ability to raise enough money for a statewide race, and he was considered the most likely to get the endorsement by Trump, who won the state of Ohio by eight percentage points.
Jordan’s departure from the race will make other contenders more likely to enter.
