Penguins make plethora of roster moves ahead of Thursday night’s game against Boston

Leading up to tonight’s game against the Boston Bruins, the Penguins made a number of lineup moves.

Defender Kevin Czuczman was recalled on an emergency basis and Sam Lafferty was recalled from the taxi team.

Acting CEO Patrik Allvin broke the news.

Anthony Angello, Frederick Gaudreau, Will Reilly and Yannick Weber have all been assigned to the taxi crew.

Weber signed a one-year contract on Wednesday but was unable to make it to Boston and is expected to join the team in New York next weekend.

Some injury-related alignment moves have also been reported.

Zach Aston-Reese has been placed on long-term injury reserve with a retroactive date of January 13.

Juuso Riikola was placed in long-term injury reserve with a retroactive date of January 19.

Evan Rodrigues was placed in reserve for long-term injuries with a retroactive date of January 24.

Marcus Pettersson was placed on the regular casualty reserve.

The Penguins are scheduled to face the Bruins at 7:00 p.m. at TD Garden.
