Report: Bears hired Bill McGovern to coach inside linebackers

The Chicago Tribune Brad Biggs reports that the Chicago Bears hire Bill McGovern as their new inside linebacker coach.

McGovern was a defensive assistant last year for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, but has spent the previous seven years coaching linebackers with the Eagles and Giants.

Before making the jump to the NFL, he had coached the college ranks since 1985.
