“The View” co-host Meghan McCain attacked President Biden on Thursday for the series of executive orders he has signed since taking office.

Biden has already broken records in terms of the number of executive orders he has issued since taking office last week, tackling a range of issues such as the coronavirus pandemic, immigration and climate change.

“I’m concerned about this pendulum coming and going where we only use executive orders to legislate,” McCain said before pointing to a recent New York Times editorial urging Biden to “facilitate” the use of the Oval Office pen.

“If you’re Joe Biden and you lose the New York Times on this and you’ve taken 19 executive orders, as opposed to President Trump who made five in week one, President Obama who made five in week one , Presidents Bush and Clinton who have done nothing, maybe it is time to start working with the other side.

“Because if you just want to legislate the same way President Trump did, it’s not a drastic change, it’s not a cure, and it doesn’t go together,” he said. she adds. “I thought the whole point of the Biden administration was that you weren’t going to be like the Trump administration.”

McCain also slammed John Kerry, the White House’s special climate envoy, for what she called the “deep hypocrisy” of owning a private jet while highlighting the urgency of climate change, along with his remarks on reallocating jobs from oil and coal to green energy, which she likened to the insult “learn to code”.

“It’s deeply elitist,” McCain said. “If this is an existential threat like the Joe Biden administration says and a lot of people believe … then you shouldn’t be flying in private jets.”
