WandaVision star Randall Park reveals he received a COVID-19 vaccine in September because he joined a vaccine trial

Randall Park revealed during an interview on The Talk on Friday, January 29, 2021 that he received a COVID-19 vaccine in September 2020, as he joined vaccine trials.

The 46-year-old TV and movie star explained that he joined the trial after his friend and fellow actor Ken Jeong told him they were looking for Asian candidates for vaccine trials.

Randall was unsure whether he had received the placebo or the actual vaccine until they told him on Thursday that he had indeed received the vaccine in September during testing.

The actor, who plays Agent Jimmy Woo in the Marvel / Disney + WandaVision series, sat down for a virtual interview with The Talk, which aired Friday.

Randall said: ‘I just found out that I have been vaccinated against Covid since September of last year. ”

Talk host Carrie Anne Inaba asked her, “How did this happen?

He explained, “ Around September of last year I was on the phone with my friend and yours, Ken Jeong, Dr Ken. And he was telling me about this ongoing vaccine trial, and they were looking for Asian candidates.

Ken, 51, who has become a household name in Knocked Up, Role Models, Community, The Hangover franchise and Crazy Rich Asians, is actually a doctor; he graduated from Duke University in 1990 and received his MD from UNC Medical School in 1995. He completed his residency at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.

He practiced medicine in Los Angeles from 1998, but performed in improv clubs, eventually leading to roles in television and film.

He gave up his practice in 2006 to become a full-time actor.

Randall continued during his interview on The Talk, “ And you know, I was thinking, oh that’s interesting. Then I found out that it was near my house, not far away, and I was bored because it was a pandemic.

Adding: “I was stuck in the house. And I was thinking that maybe I should donate my body to science.

Randall said: ‘I thought that would be my way of fighting this thing that is happening all over the world. So, I joined the trial. And I didn’t know if I had received the placebo or the vaccine, but I found out yesterday that I had received the vaccine.

Randall currently stars in the Marvel / Disney + WandaVision series; he’s become a household name on The Office, The Interview, Fresh Off the Boat, Aquaman, and Always Be My Maybe.

He is married to actress Jae Suh Park and the couple have an eight-year-old daughter named Ruby.
