Biden on climate change: we ‘waited too long’
President Biden has signed executive actions related to tackling climate change, including making climate change a national security concern.

WASHINGTON – The early days in office of President Joe Biden marked the launch of dozens of executive actions focused on the top priorities of this administration, including the COVID-19 pandemic.
Many of his orders were aimed at overturning some of former President Donald Trump’s policies in areas such as health care, immigration, the environment, and issues of equity and diversity.
Here is a list of the orders, memoranda and proclamations that Biden has taken since starting his presidency. This list, which was last updated on January 29, will be updated as additional actions are signed:
28 january
- Executive Order to Strengthen the Affordable Care and Medicaid Act by directing agencies to review any policies that may hinder access to ACA and recommending the opening of a three-month enrollment period for uninsured Americans.
- Memorandum rescinding the Trump administration’s “Mexico City policy” that blocked funding for groups that include abortion services or information in their family planning programs, and suggesting a review of policies that “place undue restrictions on health. use of federal funds or women’s access to medical information. “

- Proclamation to suspend entry into the United States of non-citizens who were present in certain regions in the 14 days preceding their attempt to enter, notably: the Schengen area, the United Kingdom (excluding the overseas territories outside Europe), the Republic of Ireland, the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Republic of South Africa.

- Executive Order Canceling Trump’s 1776 Commission, a panel established by Trump in response to The New York Times Project 1619, a Pulitzer Prize-winning collection that focused on America’s history with slavery.
- Order rescinding Trump’s plan to exclude non-citizens from the census.
- Executive Order prohibiting workplace discrimination in the federal government based on sexual orientation and gender identity and directing federal agencies to ensure that protections for LGBTQ people are included in anti-discrimination laws.
