With PlayStation Plus games for February 2021 now revealed, people across North America now know which games they’ll be playing for free next month. The free games offered each month sometimes differ from region to region, and it turns out that one region receives more games than everyone else. PlayStation users in the PlayStation Asia region will get not three, not four, but five different free games during the month of February.
The free games offered to PlayStation Asia users who subscribe to PlayStation Plus can be seen below after being tweeted by the region’s Twitter account. Control: Ultimate Edition, AllStars Destruction, and Concrete engineering are offered as in other regions, but two other games are listed. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night and Biped are also available free of charge in this region.

The deal for these users is even better than the one offered on PlayStation Japan next month. When that region tweeted its free game offers for February, it was revealed that there will be a fourth game, Bloodstained: Ritual of the night, available free of charge. The offerings from PlayStation Asia take that deal and make it even better.
There is, however, an issue with the games offered on PlayStation Asia. The version of Control: Ultimate Edition listed in this region has only been confirmed for the PlayStation 5, while those in North America can get the game on both the new console and the PlayStation 4. Perhaps it’s limited to the PlayStation 4 only on PlayStation Asia. This is why these users are getting two additional games that have been released for the PlayStation 4.
Outside of this potential explanation, it’s not clear why some regions are getting more games than others this time around, but it’s also not the first time it’s happened. Some users have already explored workarounds because of it to download games for free by changing region, but this tactic is not always guaranteed and therefore cannot be fully recommended.
Each of the games scheduled for PlayStation Plus offers next month will be available for free starting February 2.
