Will Grand Theft Auto VI be announced at the Superbowl?

[ad_1]

It’s been 7 years since GTA V first released on PS3 and Xbox, and the game is set to receive a next-gen port this year as well.

Due to the time limit, fans are highly awaiting the announcement of GTA 6, clinging to whatever information they can get their hands on.

Is the official announcement imminent?

GTA 6 announced at SuperBowl?

The current rumor is that GTA 6 will be announced during the upcoming SuperBowl on February 7th.

The location of the game is expected to be Vice City, which is based in Miami, Florida.

SuperBowl LV will take place in Tampa, Florida.

This year’s half-time performance will be The Weeknd, one of the greatest artists in the world right now.

He sparked his own GTA 6 rumors last year with his music video for Blinding Lights.

In the music video, the words “GTA 6 Trailer” were briefly seen, a bit haphazard to include in a music video unless it was an early clue of future events.

In terms of audience, very few events top the SuperBowl.

Last year’s event saw 99.9 million people tune in to watch the SuperBowl on TV, with millions more watching online.

That would put the GTA 6 ad in front of over 100 million people, what company wouldn’t want that kind of exposure?

While it’s safe to say that Rockstar doesn’t need the exposure, GTA V has sold over 130 million copies, so there are plenty of people already waiting for the next game.

But if you’re going to announce the next entry into one of the greatest gaming entities of all time, the SuperBowl is definitely the biggest platform to do so.

Will this happen?

If I had to put money into it, I would say no.

Even though I couldn’t win a raffle for one man, so don’t take my gambling advice.

It would be amazing to see and blow up the internet with the hype it would generate, but I don’t see it.

I expect we will see an official announcement this year, with the game releasing in 2023 or 2024.

Rockstar is also focusing on other GTA content, including the next-gen GTA V port.

GTA Online Heist
KING: GTA V is still as popular as ever after 7 years.

There are also rumors that GTA Trilogy Remastered is in development which includes GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas.

It would certainly fail players until GTA 6 was released.

If anything, I could see Rockstar sidetrack people and make us believe that a GTA 6 announcement is coming, then announce it instead.

But only time will tell, I guess we’ll just have to wait for the SuperBowl to find out if these rumors are true.
