Tori Spelling posted a touching tribute to her first onscreen love, Dustin Diamond, following his death on Monday from stage 4 cancer.

The “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress starred alongside Diamond in “Saved by the Bell” in 1990 as Screech’s girlfriend Violet Bickerstaff.

“My first onscreen love, Dustin Diamond, got her angel wings today,” Spelling, 47, began a long caption alongside a photo of the couple on the show. “Before there was David and Donna, there was Screech and Violet. Dustin was my first kiss on screen.

“He welcomed me with open arms on the set of ‘Saved By the Bell’,” she continued. “As you can imagine, being the newcomer to a hit show was overwhelming for a 14-year-old girl.

“He not only showed me around, but made sure I was still okay. Such a young man. He was kind, smart and always made everyone laugh.

She added that Diamond was a great stage partner and a great guy, but the couple didn’t really keep in touch, occasionally meeting at events.

“I’m glad he has no more pain,” she concludes. “He’s an icon for me professionally and personally. RIP Samuel love, your Violet.

Diamond died at the age of 44 just weeks after being diagnosed with cancer.
