Mickey Callaway, the former New York Mets manager and current pitch coach for the Los Angeles Angels, has aggressively pursued at least five women who work in sports media, sending three of them inappropriate photos and asking the one of them to send back nude photos. He sent them unsolicited email messages and regularly commented on their appearance in a way that made them uncomfortable. In one case, he pushed his crotch close to a reporter’s face as she interviewed him. In another, he told one of the women that if she got drunk with him, he would share information about the Mets.
The five women, who spoke to The Athletic on condition of not being identified, said the actions of Callaway, now 45, spanned at least five years, across multiple cities and three teams.
