Tori Spelling paid tribute to her late “Saved by the Bell” co-star Dustin Diamond after his death at 44.

The actor was diagnosed with stage 4 small cell carcinoma cancer last month. His agent told Fox News that Diamond died Monday “from carcinoma.” It didn’t take long for her usual hit sitcom co-stars to speak up and praise the late star.

Among them was Spelling, who shared a lengthy Diamond caption on Instagram with a black-and-white photo of them as children on set. Spelling had a run in 1990 as the girlfriend of Diamond Screech’s character, Violet Bickerstaff.

“My first onscreen love, Dustin Diamond, got her angel wings today…” she started in her note.

“As you can imagine, being a newbie on a hit show was overwhelming for a 14-year-old girl. Make everyone laugh,” she writes. “It was a great stage partner. He was a really good guy. I’m sad after the show, we never had much contact other than meeting occasionally at events. “

Diamond’s rep told Fox News that her “brutal and relentless form of malignant cancer” spread rapidly within three weeks of her diagnosis.

“Dustin didn’t suffer. He didn’t have to lie in pain. For that, we are grateful to him,” he explained.

The spelling ended his note by expressing his relief that Diamond was not in pain.
