Update your macOS to Big Sur 11.2 for these bug fixes

Apple has released macOS Big Sur 11.2. And WWhile you shouldn’t dwell on major system updates, be aware that there are no new features in this release. to worry – IThese are all bug fixes and security updates. If you have a brand new Mac M1 that you are using with an external display, you might want to prioritize this fix today.

As always, installing the update is straightforward: Click the Apple logo in the top left corner of macOS Big Sur, then navigate to System Preferences> Software Update. You will see this screen once you click to begin the installation, which only consumes 3.66 GB of space:

And here are the highlights of what Apple fixes in macOS Big Sur 11.2:

• External displays may display a black screen when connected to a Mac mini (M1, 2020) using an HDMI to DVI converter
• Changes made to Apple ProRAW photos in the Photos app may not be saved
• iCloud Drive may turn off after disabling iCloud Drive Desktop & Documents Folders option
• System Preferences may not unlock when entering your administrator password
• The Globe key may not display the Emoji and Symbols pane when pressed

Elsewhere, Apple also lists various security updates that you’ll find in macOS Big Sur 11.2. There are a few, including a fun one where “A user who is deleted from an iMessage group can join the group,” as Apple describes.
