Jennifer Lawrence was injured after she was hit in the eye with a shard of glass when a stunt went wrong on the set of her latest movie.

The Oscar-winning star, who is said to earn £ 10million to star alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in sci-fi drama Don’t Look Up, was reportedly ‘shaken up but OK’ after the Boston incident.

The accident happened as the 30-year-old was filming a riot scene where a trash can was thrown through a window next to where she was sitting.

A source said: ‘It was a routine stunt and everything seemed to be going well until the window smashed and she screamed and fell to the ground.

‘The glass hit her above the eye, but there were concerns that tiny fragments might have entered the eye, so she was taken to hospital.

There does not appear to be any long term damage.

The film, already delayed by Covid, has now been put on hold while the actress recovers.
