Trump is ‘happier’ now that he’s off social media: former aide

Former President Trump “has felt happier” since leaving the White House – in part because he’s off social media, his former campaign aide says.

“The president has said he feels happier now than he has been for some time,” former Trump campaign strategist Jason Miller said in an interview with Britain’s Sunday Times.

Trump was banned from Twitter, Facebook and other social media platforms after the siege on the U.S. Capitol last month.

“He said not being on social media and not being subjected to the hate echo chamber that social media gets too often has actually been good,” Miller told the newspaper.

“It is something that the First Lady [Melania] also saved. She said she loved it, he was a lot happier and having a lot more fun, ”the ex-aide said.

Trump has also benefited from being no longer under pressure from the top office, Miller said.

Since Trump left the White House, it is “the first time in years that I have seen the president truly relaxed,” Miller told the newspaper.

“Only 45 other people in the history of the United States have experienced what it is like to have the world on their shoulders. . . and be able to breathe out, knowing it’s not all on you, for the first time in four years.

Meanwhile, Trump shared “very tender moments” with his family as he left Washington, DC, for his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, Miller said.

“It was fun to have a front row seat for that. Emotions ran the gamut. Some people were very sad that this day had arrived, but there was a sense of pride that it was the most successful first term in US presidential history, ”Miller said.
