CBS is gearing up for the debut of Clarice—The new detective horror series that picks up with Thesilenceofthelambs“FBI prodigy Clarice Starling a year after the events of this movie, with all kinds of clips and previews. As expected, there is no Hannibal Lecter to find, but we are still intrigued.

First up, here’s series star Rebecca Breeds as Clarice, giving a familiar monologue over a flashback to saving farm animals.

Next, Clarice meets a familiar politician – Senator Ruth Martin, who is now Attorney General Ruth Martin, and played by Jayne Atkinson – who describes two women “cut into ribbons” by a serial killer. It really looks like a job for Agent Starling, and Clarice we will see her join a task force dedicated to investigating crimes.

“Ruth Martin’s Honey Drop for Cameras” is do not a very friendly way to describe Agent Starling. Who thinks she’s going to prove that condescending asshole isn’t going somewhere along the way?

Finally, here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the series and her take on the character of Clarice as a woman who’s been through a lot but is still game to hunt monsters.

Clarice premieres February 11 on CBS.
