“When all of this is resolved, I think people will have serious doubts about the seriousness of this, especially when the real details come out, including the blood alcohol level,” the source told CNN.

Springsteen was arrested at Gateway National Recreational Area in Sandy Hook, NJ on Nov. 14 and charged with DWI, reckless driving and drinking alcohol in a closed area, according to a National Park Service spokesperson.

That night, the singer’s source said, Springsteen took a drinking photo with fans in the park after taking a photo with them. The source added that Springsteen is known to take photos with fans. “It’s typical of Bruce,” the source said.

“I don’t know why they arrested him,” the source said of the authorities. “I mean, technically you’re not allowed to drink in a state park and I don’t know, maybe if a policeman sees someone drinking and doesn’t give them a ticket, they lose their employment, ”added the individual. “Any kind of alcohol-related driving is serious,” the source added.

An officer said he watched Springsteen “consume a glass of Patron tequila, then get on his motorcycle and start the engine,” according to a probable cause statement obtained by CNN.

Springsteen told the officer he had consumed two doses of tequila in the past 20 minutes, according to the probable cause statement.

“SPRINGSTEEN smelled strongly of alcohol coming out of his person and had glassy eyes,” the officer said in the statement, adding that he “was visibly rocking back and forth as I observed his eyes.”

Springsteen, according to the officer, took a total of 45 steps during the “walk and turn test” instead of the 18 indicated.

Prior to the screening, the officer said he approached Springsteen and informed him that alcohol was prohibited in the park, and asked if Springsteen was leaving, to which “he confirmed he was going out of the park. by car, “the statement read.

A Jeep spokesperson told CNN on Wednesday that the company would suspend airing of its ad, including Springsteen, who made his Super Bowl debut in light of the accusations.

“It would be inappropriate for us to comment on the details of a topic that we have only read about and cannot justify,” the company said in a statement. “But it’s also fair that we suspend our Big Game advertising until the real facts can be established.”

“I just hope Jeep ends up looking bad,” the source close to the music icon said.
