In his first two years at Knoxville, To’o To’o amassed 148 tackles, earning several accolades along the way, including All-American freshman honors for his efforts in 2019. Ahead of the 2020 season, To’o to’o was featured on the All-SEC Preseason First Team, as well as the Bronko Nagurski and Butkus Award Watchlists.
The 6-foot-2, 225-pound To’o To’o led Tennessee in 2020 with 76 tackles and 10 tackles for loss, tied for fourth in the SEC in the TFL. In 10 games, To’o To’o added a sack and two breakouts, and he returned an interception for a touchdown in the season opener in South Carolina and caught a 31 pass. yards on a false punt against Vanderbilt. He played three double-digit tackle games last season, finishing with 11 against Georgia and 10 and a career-high 13 against Vanderbilt and Texas A&M in the last two games.
To’o To’o won SEC All-Freshman Team honors and was named to the 247Sports True Freshman All-American team after making an instant impact on the Tennessee defense in his first year on the program. in 2019.
