With the Terminator and the Predator making an entry into Fortnite, it wouldn’t seem too unrealistic to expect another popular ’80s movie franchise to debut in the popular game Battle Royale.

It all started with a message from HYPEX on Twitter containing an image of a new portal that will open on Fortnite Island. This was found in the source code of the game.

Then, a few hours later, the official Fortnite Twitter account posted an audio clip of Jonesy (a prominent Fortnite character who is currently pulling help from different universes as part of the game’s “Zero Point” narrative) sitting down. to try to turn on a dusty old PC.

As you can see, this transmission is titled “Reality Log MCP-82” – and, as moviegoers know, MCP stands for “Master Control Program” in Disney’s Tron series, while 82 represents the year in which the original Tron film saw its release. “They are fighting for the users” clearly refers to the Tron character from the same movie.

Tron had a sequel in 2010 titled Tron legacy, which boasted of an incredible soundtrack by French duo Daft Punk. A television series, named Tron: uprising, arrived in 2012, and more recently it was reported that a new movie is in development, with Jared Leto involved.

So what do you think of Tron’s arrival on Fortnite? Let us know with a comment below.
