A new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla The DLC update is delighting fans of the game on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, PC and Google Stadia. The promising update comes in the wake of fan reaction to the game’s microtransactions, and that reaction took offense not only to the amount of microtransactions in the game, but how they were added and strengthened before the game does release the appropriate DLC. That said, while Ubisoft has remained silent Valhalla DLC, that recently changed.
In its recent earnings call with investors, Ubisoft reiterated its commitment to add to the cross-gen Assassin’s Creed game via DLC. In fact, during the call, Ubisoft teased fans who Valhalla will have both a “stronger and longer post-launch program”.
Unfortunately, this is where the details end. Not only has Ubisoft refused to disclose details on the DLC, it is not yet clear when more details will be shared.
Having said that, if Valhalla will really have a “stronger and longer post-launch program” as Ubisoft says, that should mean it will have a minimum of two expansions, because that’s what Assassin’s Creed Odyssey had. In addition to this, Ubisoft also added to Odyssey with new features, quests, and a ton of other free content that not only bolstered the pair of premium expansions, but kept players busy with each other.
At a time when many single-player games are moving into expansions and DLC releases, Odyssey had great support after the launch which earned it a lot of praise. And so the fact that Valhalla will – supposedly – all this and more, Assassin’s Creed the fans are enthusiastic. That said, at this time, details on all of these DLCs are not available.
