Gorilla Glue Removed From Tessica Brown’s Hair After Treatment By Plastic Surgeon Dr Michael K. Obeng

LOS ANGELES – Tessica Brown’s cry for help has been followed by millions of people.

She went viral for using the powerful Gorilla Glue – an industrial strength adhesive – on her hair when she lacked a product called Got2b Glued. For over a month, Brown’s hair remained stuck to her scalp.

Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon Dr Michael K. Obeng was empathetic after learning his story.

“I saw how much she could suffer,” said Dr Obeng. “And after talking to her, I realized she needed help.

He started to work on a solution that would be safe and effective. Brown flew to Los Angeles from New Orleans. The hours-long free of charge process through Obeng’s non-profit organization, Restore, worked.

“I was very ecstatic that I could put a smile on someone’s face to take away the headaches and suffering,” Obeng said.

Brown is finally able to run his fingers through his hair again.

“It was a month, but it looked like years,” Brown told our sister channel KABC-TV.

“I had a happy dance,” said a smiling brunette.

But she admits the condemnable and ridiculous comments hurt her and her family.

“” She’s so stupid. It was stupid, “you know,” You should cut your whole head off, “” she said of the social media comments.

One of her children was bullied.

“Someone made up a song,” Brown said. “But instead of saying, ‘Don’t worry what people say,’ I was in the bathroom crying because I’m reading all these comments … People have to understand that you don’t. can’t knock someone down when they’re already down there. “

Brown, a mother of five who runs a daycare and dance team, had support. Her video sparked a conversation about the hairstyling challenges that many black women face due to Eurocentric beauty standards.

Others simply let her know that they supported her. She said she plans to respond individually to each person who contacts her.

“If it takes me a month, three months, I’ll thank everyone in my inbox,” Brown said.

She regretted posting the video but is now relieved that she helped her find a solution.

“All the negative stuff everyone said, I don’t care. My hair is there, the glue is gone, ”she says.
