AP basketball top 25 ranking announced for February 15

The rankings were the story of the weekend with the first potential seeds of March Madness revealed on CBS Saturday by the committee. And now, after a busy weekend on hard court, the top 25 AP rankings are updated to reflect the matches. Several top 10 teams made headlines this weekend, including Michigan returning to the field after nearly a month. College basketball also saw Villanova go down to Creighton

With No.2 Baylor on hiatus, the spotlight shines even brighter on No.1 Gonzaga as the first team has 20 wins.

And the Big Ten continues to thrive at the top with Michigan, Ohio State, and Illinois having big weeks. The Illini, however, were scared of Nebraska in overtime on Friday. The ACC’s top two teams, Virginia and Florida State, jump into action tonight in a game that goes a long way in the AP poll and the ACC final standings.
