Jesse Plemons Joins Leonardo DiCapprio in Apple’s ‘Killers Of The Flower Moon’ – Deadline

After playing an FBI agent in Judas and the black Messiah, Jesse Plemons is looking to stay in the office. He is about to join Apple Studios The killers of the flowering moon, that Martin Scorsese directs with Leonardo DiCaprio and Robert De Niro attached to the star.

Based on David Grann’s bestseller and set in 1920s Oklahoma, The flower moon killers depicts the serial murder of members of the oil-rich nation of Osage, a series of brutal crimes known as the Reign of Terror. Plemons will play the lead FBI agent investigating the murders.

Lily Gladstone is also on board to play Mollie Burkhart, an Osage married to Ernest Burkhart (DiCaprio), who is the nephew of a powerful local rancher (De Niro).

Scorsese will also produce for Apple Studios and Imperative Entertainment from a script by Eric Roth. Along with Scorsese, Dan Friedkin and Bradley Thomas, and Appian Way Productions, produce.

Besides his stealing role in Judas and the black Messiah, Coming from Plemons credits include disney’s next Jungle cruise alongside Dwayne Johnson and Emily Blunt, Scott Cooper’s latest film Wood opposite Keri Russell and produced by Guillermo Del Toro. He also recently appeared in Charlie Kaufman’s I think of the end of things.

He also just finished working on the Jane Campion feature The power of the dog opposite Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst.

The flower moon killers joins a growing offering of Apple Originals products to be developed and produced by Apple Studios, including Chemistry class starring and executive produced by Brie Larson, and written and executive produced by Susannah Grant; Musette, the latest film by Ridley Scott and starring Joaquin Phoenix; and Emancipation, by director Antoine Fuqua and with and produced by Will Smith.
